About Transocean Equipment Management
A Family-Owned Business That Puts Customers First
At Transocean Equipment Management, you’re more than just another order number.
We’re a family-owned shipping container company built on honest service, fair pricing, and long-term relationships. Owner Benji Williams and his daughter, Allison Hubbard, work side by side to help customers find the right container without the runaround you’ll often get from larger companies.
We like to think of ourselves as the local mom-and-pop shop in an industry that’s increasingly dominated by big national sellers. While larger companies may treat every sale like a transaction, we focus on building trust and earning repeat business. Many of our customers come back to us for additional containers or refer their friends, family, and colleagues because they know we’ll take care of them.
When you request a quote from us, you’ll receive straightforward pricing with no hidden fees. Delivery is included in your quote, so there are no surprises later, and bulk discounts are available for customers purchasing multiple containers.
Whether you’re looking for standard dry shipping containers, open-top containers, refrigerated (reefer) containers, or a custom-built solution, our team can help. We also provide container modifications such as doors, windows, shelving, ventilation, insulation, and other project-specific upgrades.
Decades of Industry Experience
Transocean‘s leadership team brings more than 40 years of combined experience in the container industry. We’ve worked with homeowners, contractors, farmers, manufacturers, schools, retailers, government agencies, and businesses of every size.
That experience allows us to answer questions honestly, recommend the right container for the job, and help customers avoid paying for features they don’t need. Our goal is to provide practical solutions that fit your project and your budget, not sell you something you don’t need.

Meet the Team
Benjamin “Benji” Williams | Owner
Benji Williams became the owner of Transocean Equipment Management after founder Bob Gaines retired in 2023, but his business experience stretches back much further.
For more than four decades, Benji has owned and operated successful businesses across several industries. He joined Transocean as an independent sales agent in 2009, became a partner in 2012, and spent years helping grow the company before taking over ownership.

Today, he leads the business with the same philosophy that has guided him throughout his career: treat customers fairly, be transparent, and stand behind your word.
His background in storage, transportation, and equipment sales gives customers confidence that they’re getting practical advice from someone who understands the business inside and out.
Allison Hubbard | Sales
Allison joined Transocean in 2023 and quickly became an important part of the family business. After starting as an independent contractor, she transitioned into a full-time sales role in 2024.
Before entering the container industry, Allison worked in education, where she developed strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills. She brings those same qualities to every customer interaction, taking the time to understand each project and helping customers choose the right container instead of simply making a sale.
Working alongside her father, Allison is helping continue the family-focused approach that defines Transocean today.

John McCarthy | Mid-Atlantic & Northeast Sales
John McCarthy joined Transocean in 2024 after more than 22 years as a National Sales Manager with one of the country’s largest cargo container companies.
As Transocean’s exclusive representative for the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast, John helps customers throughout the region with container sales, purchasing, and modification solutions. His extensive industry knowledge and long-standing professional relationships allow him to connect customers with the right equipment for projects of every size.

Whether working with homeowners, contractors, or large commercial organizations, John is committed to providing knowledgeable service and practical solutions.
Due to his success and dedication, Benjamin became a partner in 2012 and now leads the organization. His deep understanding of diverse business operations—from trailer rentals to on-site storage—makes him an invaluable leader in driving Transocean’s commitment to excellence and growth.
